Xylogy is the leading provider of integrated governance
tools that assist organisations with the challenges of managing large and
complex projects.
Xylogy was founded by Simon Wild and Jim McLean in 1999. The founders
recognised that integrated tools did not exist at an affordable price to
manage technical and IT projects and software development, or to package
implementation projects from end-to-end.
Seed funding was raised in late 2000 from Item3, an incubator company
funded by the Australian Government Building on IT Strengths incubation program (BITS). Additional funding was
raised in 2001 and 2002 from Business Angels to continue the development
of the core product, originally called ILM and later renamed Xylogy.
Market Research in Australia and overseas has repeatedly confirmed the
need for such a product.
Ron Nissen joined the Board of Xylogy as Non-Executive Chairman in 2000
and in mid 2001 took up the role of Executive Chairman after leaving AAPT.
